Getting a truck up Winter Hill in February is its own skill. Those grades ice over early and stay slick long after the flat streets have dried, and Spring Hill isn't much better. Add three-deckers with no driveways and cars parked bumper to bumper on both sides, and there's often no room to set up a conventional tow. That's why we lean on flatbeds and short winch pulls here.
Crashes cluster where you'd expect. McGrath Highway and Route 16 along the Mystic Valley Parkway account for most accident calls; Sullivan Square's ramp tangle takes the rest, usually with truck traffic stacked behind it. We also run steady private-lot releases around Union, Davis and Assembly Row.
Permit parking, private lots, and September 1
My car got towed from a restaurant lot in Union Square. Can you help?
The lot's contracted operator holds it, so you'll settle with them first. Once it's released, we'll flatbed it home or to a shop.
Do you tow on September 1?
We do, but moving day slows the whole city down and permit enforcement doesn't ease up. Call early and give us a cross street.
