A car parked fine in Boston becomes a tow candidate at 2 a.m. on a Brookline street. The overnight ban — roughly 2 to 6 a.m. without a permit — drives more of our calls here than breakdowns do. Usually it's somebody visiting a friend near Coolidge Corner who misread the sign.
The rest is geography. Route 9 through the Village clogs, so a stall there gets a flatbed and a careful merge. Beacon is its own animal: the C branch tracks run in the median, and a misjudged turn puts a wheel on the reservation — a winch job worked around a trolley schedule.
